Port development opens up growth opportunities for local women-led suppliers. With this in mind, Puerto Antofagasta took part in the “Sobre Rieles” MeetUp, organized by E+Minera and FCAB in Antofagasta.
During the panel on opportunities and challenges in mining, energy and logistics, the Port shared how the projects in its Master Plan can support the growth of regional businesses and help integrate their services into the logistics chain.
In this context, it highlighted the La Negra Logistics Development Zone as a space for supplier companies to establish operations and for the coordination of services to the mining industry. It also discussed planned rail connectivity, which can expand transport options and strengthen connections between the Port, the rail network and industry.
The event also included the signing of a cooperation agreement between E+Minera and FCAB. Puerto Antofagasta’s own partnership with the association is supported by an agreement signed in December 2025, covering business networking, professional development and mutual promotion.
As a strategic partner of E+Minera, the Port continues this work to connect local capabilities with new opportunities and strengthen the participation of women-led businesses in regional development.
